FDA Dietary Supplement Priorities

This webinar will focus on regulatory and legislative priorities in the natural products industry. It will feature a presentation by the nation’s top dietary supplement official who is responsible for regulating a $70 billion market, Cara Welch, Ph.D., Director of the FDA Office of Dietary Supplement Programs. Following her presentation, Dr. Welch will participate in a chat with Daniel Fabricant, Ph.D., who leads the Natural Products Association and oversaw the FDA Division of Dietary Supplement Programs during the Obama administration.

Also, during the webinar, regulatory expert Ashish Talati, Esq., will explain the significance of an FDA proposed GRAS rule and discuss it with Dr. Fabricant. NPA VP of Government Affairs Kyle Turk will close the webinar by highlighting the association’s legislative priorities and NPA Fly-In Day, a premier advocacy event in the nation’s capital happening on May 12, 2026.
