NPA Priority to Strengthen Enforcement Activities for Inspections Receives Funding in Appropriations Bill

WASHINGTON – The latest spending bill from Congress includes a top priority for the Natural Products Association (NPA) to provide more funding for the Office of Dietary Office of Dietary Supplement Programs (ODSP) to strengthen and expand enforcement and facility inspection activities.

“This is a win for consumers that expect strong safety standards for the products they use each and every day, and we are happy to see Congress follow our lead by providing FDA with more resources,” said Daniel Fabricant, President and CEO of NPA.  “While we understand that resources have been stretched thin during the pandemic, we cannot afford to sacrifice consumer safety.  We look forward to working with Congress and the FDA to ensure that consumer safety is always the top priority.”
